The enemy troops drop at the top of the left path you took. Cortana will warn you that Covenant dropships are coming so be prepared. Keep killing enemies and move to meet up with the Marines again. Once you proceed far enough, Cortana will tell the Marines to take the path up the middle while you cover the left. but we know that's not going to happen.В Carefully creep up and snipe theВ stationary gunnerВ and theВ Elite (you have to move up a little to see him on the ridge)В before taking the left path anyway. TLDR: I disagree with your opinion, unless you are referring to LASO difficulty.Cortana gives tells you the path up on the left should let you sneak around. There's not that much you can do aside from stay ahead of the group and kill most or all of the enemies before the Keyes group gets to them. Yeah Keyes and the marines he comes with are pretty dumb and they have low health too.

I don't know what to say except don't stand next to explosions and be aware that needler super combine will set off nearby grenades that are on the floorДЄlso add the fact that Keyes dumbass doesn't know to take cover and gets killed If you want to be optimal, you should be using sniper and plasma pistol, but you can beat the mission with basically anything.ДЄnd the Needler can kill you if you're close to the enemy on detonation. You shouldn't be stuck using anything, there is more than enough ammo and ammo pickups to use the sniper rifle the whole mission, even on legendary. You're basically stuck using a Needler through the entire mission The game even gives you invis a few times so you have plenty of time to get easy stealth kills.

The fact that CE is dated as fuck now so its harder to melee enemies There are navpoints in the mission to help with navigation, and even if there weren't the doors are color coded to tell you where you can and can't go. If you were talking about LASO, I would agree with you You can even abuse some hiding spots to ensure you get past the wave defense sections too if those give you trouble (the 'hold position' segments are all timed). The Library gets a lot of hype but honestly outside of the index room at the end it's really manageable. That being said, T&R is probably the hardest mission in the game. You essentially have to throw yourself at the enemy to ensure this suicidal moron doesn't keel over and die instantly. There's no defending that Keyes segment though lmao. That part gets repetitive and especially so if you're playing for the first time and don't place your grenades properly on the lift. The second worst part of the mission IMO is undoubtedly the ship boarding section where you go through like literally 18 waves of enemies back to back between the landing pad and the ship entrance. I do like to drop the PR for the plasma pistol though to take care of jackal shields which have way harder hitboxes to reach than the remainder of the series. With their shield damage and stun they're arguably more reliable elite killers in CE than the magnum is and I'm not exaggerating. If you haven't been plasma rifles as your primary (non-sniper) weapon you should. You have plasma rifles strung across the map which are perfect mid range weapons and plasma pistols tossed everywhere. You have a reliable elite killer pretty much every step of the way there provided you're not shooting the ammo into the wall or anything. Even if you start getting into the 24 ammo count there are ammo refills littered across the map. I think the biggest trap people fall into is being stingy with the weapon here. The sniper can kill every non Gold elite in two headshots and you start off with a ridiculous amount of ammo for it. I also never used a single needler in the mission. I'm pretty sure it takes two 'jump melees' to kill a spartan in MP, but I'm not sure how that translates into the campaign damage table. Moreover the melees are momentum based, meaning that if you're walking at top speed or better yet if you're jumping while meleeing, you'll do more damage than a stationary or walk speed one. The plasma pistol and AR take on different roles because of how wide/far their melees reach in comparison to other weaponry. The navigation is a chore on the ship, that's for sure, but I greatly prefer CE's melee system over the lock on melees from 2 onwards.

I thought it was fine difficulty wise and certainly not among the worst missions in the series quality wise. I literally just finished it the other day on Legendary and I'm in AoTCR now.
